What is Citrox®?

X-PUR Opti-Rinse Plus includes a new ingredient called Citrox®, which is unique plant-based and patented antimicrobial bioflavonoid complex offering a powerful antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory effect.

Citrox® is extracted from bitter oranges which have been consumed by humans since the dawn of time. Apart from being all natural, organic and hypoallergenic, Citrox® is very effective at killing bacteria and viruses at very low concentration while breaking down biofilm. This makes Citrox® an extremely powerful substance that can help patients maintain good oral hygiene practices in order to reduce the risk of future complications.

With Citrox®, you can feel safe as it is biodegradable, safe to handle, eco-friendly, alcohol-free, does not contain synthetic fragrances or colourants, and is also free of GMO, petrochemicals and allergenic substances.

WHY SHOULD YOU USE AN ORAL RINSE?

Only 25% of your mouth is composed of teeth. Bushing and using floss or an interdental brush will help you get rid of plaque and bad bacteria on your teeth, but what about the remaining 75% surface of your mouth? Combined with a proper oral hygiene routine, using an oral rinse can help you eliminate bacteria left on your tongue, gums and roof of your mouth.

If used on a regular basis, an oral rinse can help clean hard to reach areas, keep teeth & gums healthy, prevent gum disease and freshen your breath.

X-PUR OPTI-RINSE PLUS

X-PUR Opti-Rinse Plus is a oral rinse that contains fluoride and a powerful new ingredient called Citrox®, which is a bioflavonoid complex extracted from bitter oranges, effective at killing bacteria and viruses while breaking down biofilm. Recommended to prevent plaque and gingivitis.

There is a bottle for everyone and every needs:

Children under 6 years old should avoid using an oral rinse except if suggested otherwise by a dental professional. Once children are old enough to use oral rinse, it is recommended to use one that is alcohol free.

X-PUR OPTI-RINSE PLUS IS EFFECTIVE AGAINST...

Cavities

Helps reverse the tooth decay process at its earliest stage.

Gingivitis

Indicated by Health Canada to help prevent plaque and gingivitis.

Dry mouth

Helps to remineralize tooth enamel (which helps against dry mouth)

READY, SET, RINSE!

Everyone has their prefered way to use an oral rinse. However, to ensure your teeth and gums are receiving their maximum benefit from all the good ingredients contained in the oral rinse, you should follow these three easy steps.

Brush your teeth first

For best results, start by brushing and flossing your teeth.

Swish for 1 minute

Rinse with about 10ml and swish it in your mouth for a whole minute.

Spit out

Avoid eating, drinking or rinsing for at least 30 minutes or it will wash away the protective ingredients.

LEARN HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT ORAL RINSE

Choosing a good oral rinse can be confusing as there are so many options to choose from. But are all oral rinses the same? While many oral rinses offer similar treatment there are essentially two categories of oral rinse: cosmetic (only acts as a breath freshener) and therapeutic (created to solve a particular oral concern).

1. Find the main concerns you wish to treat.

Your overall oral health will help you determine which oral rinse is best for you. Before choosing one, ask yourself what are your main concerns. Do you suffer from bad breath or dry mouth? Are you at risk for gingivitis? Do you have sensitive teeth or gums? Are you at high risk of developing cavities?

2. Choose which features are important to you.

What do you wish to find in your oral rinse? For example, you may want an oral rinse that is alcohol free, with fluoride, natural, etc.

3. Talk to your dentist.

Your dentist is the best person to recommend an oral rinse suitable for your personal dental issues. So don’t hesitate to ask for a professional opinion at your next appointment.
